Vidal Sassoon: Changed The World with a Pair of Scissors
What: Vidal Sassoon: The Movie
By Greta Álvarez
The man who had invented iconic haircuts such as Mia Farrow’s in Rosemary’s Baby (reproduced today by Emma Watson), the same guy who made the Bob Cut popular, wore by the designer Mary Quant, and the hands who cut the hair of Nancy Kwan and inmortalized her on the iconic cover of Vogue Magazine, which also told Twiggy how to carry on that “5points” haircut, and the same responsible scissors which influenced Anna Wintour, Victoria Beckham, Katie Holmes, between others who knows what they have on their heads (and also other mainstreamers that doesn’t have a clue). One of the most influential hairdressers in history: Vidal Sassoon.

Vidal Sassoon as a man changed the world with a pair of scissors, this is a documentary about an 85 years old stylist which needs to be seen by all women and public in general to know the details of where, how and why came the idea of the original Bob cut, inspired by mod esthetics. Every style has to addapt itself to the face of every girl and not copy it exactly as it was seen on a mag. Take note.
An interesting, groovy and B&W biopic. Without hesitations, a great addition to the beggining of pop culture.
