There’s a tradition in several cities around the world called Taco Tuesday. The idea is simple, After Office you reunite and share with your coworkers and friends tacos and drinks, that way you can add excitement to your week.
Although in Venezuela this tradition doesn’t exist I hope the country residents read this and venture themselves to try out this practice. This is why we recommend a classic place with more than 20 years of existence that stills preserves its underground mood untouched. Tacos at Santa Sofía, a little place of sober look but with a kitchen full of flavor.
They are located inside a not so crowded shopping center at Caracas, with a simple menu: Tacos or Tostadas in a board with different flavors and plenty of combinations. Beside of these main dishes they offer pico de gallo salad and tamales. After you order they prepare you meal in front of your eyes and give you the option to eat there on tables they have on site.
My instructions: Park your car on the Santa Sofía Shopping Center and like a recommendation you can ask for a taco or a tostada with guacamole (the portion of this sauce is huge and a must). Sometimes at night you can find more than a couple of people doing line, but don’t give up, it will worth it.
Definitely a great taquería located in El Cafetal at Caracas to start celebrating the famous Taco Tuesdays.
