It`s more than a bookstore, is a city dedicated to books, a literary fortress with an incalculable value in which big treasures hide. A place for people looking hard to find editions of any piece of work, theme or author.

The store is always attended by its owner, Mr. Rafael Castellanos and a competent staff ready to welcome you. Once you ask for any book, author or subject you’re interested in, you will be guide thru the basement into narrow halls and dark aisles full of books.

It’s an overwhelming experience and highly recommended for the most demanding book seekers. It’s not recommendable for claustrophobics. Something you should also take into account: sometimes the basement is hot.

Tip: Go alone or in small groups (less than 3 people), if not you cannot go to the basement all at once. Books aside, you can also find antiques, collector’s items, old Venezuelan medals, old records, bottles, old cans and much more.

This giant bookstore is located on the third Avenue of Las Delicias in Sabana Grande, Caracas just before reaching the Francisco Solano Avenue, next to the Villa D’ Este hotel, in front of the Banco Industrial building and the French Alliance.

Suspense, emotion and intrigue is what this thousand pages tour de force will be about. The book will have its way to shelves on November 8th, days before the 47th anniversary of JFK assassination.

Damned by Chuck Palahniuk

The contemporary genius, who was famous thanks to his Fight Club book, will make a comeback this October 18th with Damned. The book tells the story of an eleven year old girl which suddenly wakes up in hell without knowing why she is there and much less why she has to spend the rest of eternity in Satan’s layer. The author described his book as an adventure of the late John Hughes: “The Breakfast Club from hell”.

A prequel to Trainspotting. This sir will return on April 2012 and he will tell the story of Rent, main character from the first book, before his descent to drugs and his passion for needles. Following Bret Easton Ellis´s path, Walsh submerges us into the London decadence of the 80´s and how drugs damaged a lot of dental enamels and two or three lives.
