WHAT: The new Bonsai Hobbit House

Do you like Bonsais? Do you love those little guys called hobbits? Are you a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien? If so, keep reading. Bonsai Empire has created the best house replica of Bilbo Baggins, Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee’s home, where both, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, begin and end. Instead of cheap plastic, this little house recreates the hobbit house style in a really appealing way: putting a real Bonsai around it, which adds a wild touch to the design.

This house was designed by Chris Guise, the inventor of this curious ornament used tiles to create the illusion of red bricks, wood for the fence and he even put an oasis and a little hill, that way your bonsai will absorb all the nutrients from the water you pour in. Yes, you obviously need to play the gardener with your new and cute hobbit house to keep it fresh and radiant.

The details are so awesome that you can see the doorknobs and even broomsticks lying around. If you’re a Lord of The Rings fan this is a no-brainer for you. It will make any corner of your house feels like Middle Earth!

WHAT: Johnny Ramone Tribute

Seven years ago the co-founder of the real punk, Johnny Ramone, died. Every year fans reunite at the Hollywood Forever cemetery, place where a cenotaph is erected to pay tribute to him.

This year was all about an autumn evening full of Blitzkrieg Bop. People from all the ages, picnics, Johnny’s tombstone illuminated and fully adorned, vintage footage of The Ramones was been projected, Mexican foodtrucks and memorabilia of the  band from Queens, pioneer of punk-rock.

Tommy Ramone was there at the tribute, He’s a former member, first drummer and co-founder of The Ramones. On the other side, the super well known horror-punk band The Misfits, with their extravagant costumes, make up and a major sense of sympathy were there also. Jerry Only, lead singer of The Misfits, leaving his Halloween monster kind of appearance aside for a moment, is a charismatic gentleman.

The event was entirely organized by John Cafiero, who manages all the stuff concerning the late Dee Dee and Johnny and also by Linda Ramone –Johnny’s widow who also was Joey’s girlfriend-. Very little was spoken about Joey Ramone, with the one we know Johnny had a lot of troubles, the memorabilia was limited to pieces concerning Johnny and Dee Dee only.

After the autograph signs, interviews and photo sessions Ed Wood’s Plan 9 from Outer Space was projected in 3D and the audience had the opportunity to see Bela Lugosi in another dimension, literally. The main reason: Johnny was a fan of horror movies.

In the end everyone left the place with a common felling: Punk lives inside our hearts. Hey Ho!

When a fashion-seeker and full of style girl marries a graphic designer and music lover type of guy it gives as a result a home where art, design and fashion takes over its decoration and architecture.

This is the case of the house of María Claudia Colomine & Andrés Úngaro , a Venezuelan couple living in Miami, who created a personalized home according to their tastes.

Citric colors on top of a pristine white, that gives the sensation of perfection and minimalism. Acrilic chairs, vinyl toys, a musical corner -where Andrés plays his instruments, a wide collection of fashion and design books, flowers carefully chosen by the exquisite taste of María Claudia and even a small tech-lover office space.

A home that has become a sanctuary for the colorful designer toys which are accompanied by art and 3D decoration, multicolor carpets and the last on interior design. Fashion + Graphic Design + rock are the perfect equation to a love style carried by great taste and pop-deco.

Norma Jeane has her space well kept in an apartment from Caracas, Venezuela. Purple tones decorates the house which works as a tribute to one of the most iconic sex-symbols of Hollywood golden era. Miguel Armando, a journalist from la Universidad Central de Venezuela, has recolected thru the years all kind of memorabilia about Marilyn Monroe.

A cool-kitsch space where diamonds best friend shares scene with Dracula, virgins and even The Last Temptation of Christ. A cinematographic mix to have fun on a cocktail nights.

Without a doubt a home that smells like Chanel Nº5 and where Marilyn never died.

A small franchise of Liverpool @ Caracas, Venezuela. Mayra Deabreu, social communicator and film costume designer and Alejandro Gómez, journalist and vocalist of Los Telecaster, a Venezuelan rock band, are the responsibles of this beatlemaniac empire.

This couple, wherever they are, can not leave aside their altar dedicated to Paul, John, George & Ringo. Alejandro Gómez AKA El Chino is one of the die hard collectors of The Beatles memorabilia across Latin America. Mayra, his wife, knows how to use every single piece to perfectly decorate the space in which they live in while they are in Caracas.

You can find this crib on the Victoria Avenue, white as the mythical John Lennon´s piano. If you dare to enter is like having a tour on a museum about Liverpool´s fab four. Its all about books, biographies, DVD, autographed photos, concert tickets and more secrets thay have inside trunks, lunchboxes, drawers and even on the fridge.

In this house you can breathe LOVE.
