A New Yorker orthodontist called Marc Lemchen in association with the accessories designer for Lulu Frost  and Jennifer Salzer, created an unusual article of clothing that pretends to sell like a piece of fashion for teenager girls and fashion victims: Braced-Lets.

These bracelets are made with orthodontic materials but they are not designed for teeth but 100% for girl’s arms. They not only have the rubbers of those metallic objects, besides they are decorated with actual brackets.

They pretend to become a must-have this summer. The question is what do YOU think?

With a japanese name taken from a beatle heiress, there’s a Venezuelan brand of accesories that is more than well informed in what’s going on in the fashion industry. It dedicates to create unique pieces for stylesetter girls, its name: YOKO.

After its undeniable success with snappy casual headbands, Yoko returned with on-trend necklaces popularized (and even some of them designed by) the socialite-actress Olivia Palermo. This collars have received the name of droolers or bib knecklaces and they are full of cool Upper East Side style.

“Trends” have become such a popular theme in the generation 2.0, that any attempt to document what is going to be the next big thing next season seems to be a very idiotic piece of work. You can easily find Marc Alary under that petite committee, a jewelry designer with only a single collection, which has managed to catch the attention of visionary minds such as Sarah Lerfel and Meredith Melling Burke, of Vogue magazine.

With a minimalist style and an elegant sense of humor, Alary gives a Ménagerie form to a collection made out of little jumpy monkeys, panthers, elephants and giraffes. All of them mold in pink gold and silver, with diamonds and sapphires incrustations. Perfect pieces for a lady who wants to emulate Carmen Miranda style, avoiding the excess of exoticism of a fruit salad over her head.
