The people at Gummies and Glowsticks have created the best table that a Nintendo fan can have in his living room: the Super Mario Bros. table. The interesting part of the design is its 8-bit look which makes it even geekier.

The table has other details like a green pipe that fans of the game will surely recognize and an 8-bit star that serves as the base for the whole table.

SNURK is a bedding and cushion brand from Amsterdam created by Peggy van Neer and Erik van Loo, following a philosophy for enjoyment and happiness in an horizontal way AKA sleeping on the bed. Snurk means “to snore” in Dutch and the brand not only assure you sweet dreams with their awesome and creative designs, they also offer a high quality product made with the best cotton and velour from Portugal.

By the end of 2012 they created some of their most popular designs like Bob, the doggie looking for company, Ollie the cat that will keep your bed warm and Yawn, photos of people yawning to make you yawn. This March, they added brand new designs like the Astronaut, to dream beyond the stars, and the princess design for the Sleeping Beauties of the world.

To add even more coolness to its resume, this independent brand decided to give a large part of the sales of both designs, Le-Clochard and Le-Trottoir, to The Foundation for Homeless Youngsters in the Netherlands (SZN).

In these days “the living dead” are everywhere. It seems like we’re in a Zombie Apocalypse but in a commercial way. The fragrance company, Demeter, following its philosophy of creating fragrances inspired by everyday objects and experiences (like they did with the cologne of cannabis flowers,  holy water, and even with that one that smelled like Gin & Tonic)  added a new item to their library: Zombie for him and for her.

Under the tagline “Zombie Apocalypse doesn’t mean you can’t smell good” the cologne for her has a touch of dregs from the bottom of a wine barrel for that feminine touch, while the version for men is a combination of dried leaves, mushrooms, mildew, moss and earth.

These colognes are limited editions and are going to be available until April 30th. The price for the 1 oz presentation is $20 and let me tell you that if you’re a zombie fan you need to run and grab them ASAP.

We can bet you that not a single geek or sci-fi fan in the world has ever turned to see a matryoshka doll…until now. The illustrator and graphic designer Andy Stattmiller knows that nesting dolls are far from interesting nowadays, that’s why he has created two incredible matryoshkas sets using the characters from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope to make them interesting once again.

The figurines are made out of wood and they’re painted with acrylic. Its sizes run from 0.75 to 8 inches. The first set comes with the heroes: Chewbacca, Han Solo, Obi Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, C3PO, R2D2 and the lovely Princess Leia; the second one comes with the dark side of the force: Darth Vader, a Storm Trooper, Grand Moff Tarkin, a Tie Fighter pilot, a Tusken Raider, Greedo & a Jawa.

We’re sure that Stattmiller is one of those artists you need to be following right now. He may surprise us with another cool invention in no time!
